| I might as well post the first Original table Release at JPG-Pins. As you can tell by looking at the screenshot of Mars Attacks, I use/steal a lot of JP's ideas and techniques. I updated a lot of table elements, stuff flashes and lights up and then I added music from the movie soundtrack and then I added enough new sounds to make this table sound like a real war with the Martians. I even added a surprise. This update even impressed me as the new sounds make this seem like a new table. Download it at Pinball Nirvana in the Original section. | |

| Nice update Bob! I like what you did with the sounds, the table is much more 'alive' because of it. Graphics also look better than the 2007 version. 1 small comment though: the backdrop on this one looks great (prefer this one compared to the 2007 v), but the green decoration is a bit distracting imo. Thanks for the update! Don't think I ran into a surprise yet, so I'll have to play some more | |

| Thanks Ted! The green trim came with the backdrop picture, I got use to it, but it was noticeable at first, I'll think about removing it or toning it down.
The object of this game is to shoot the Martians.... Kill, kill, kill! To kill the Martians, shoot the targets! Drop either target bank and the left outlane will be guarded by a Martian until you kill him. Drop a second target bank on the same ball and the right outlane will then be guarded by a Martian until he's killed, this lights the EXTRA Ball light, shoot the kicker hole at the top left. Drop a third target bank on the same ball and a Martian will guard the center drain area until he's killed. All Martians guards will leave if the ball drains. The Martians guarding the ball exits is the surprise, they weren't in previous versions.

Thanks for the update! Don't think I ran into a surprise yet, so I'll have to play some more I updated the table to 2009a Mars Attacks 2009a is now available at Pinball Nirvana in the Original Table section. I added a new backdrop without the green squiggles. I disabled all table elements when Tilted and added something in the TILT, so be sure to TILT it a couple of times. I changed the flipper angles, added a visual slowdown on the backswing of the flipper for a more realistic effect, without increasing the ball thru the flipper problem (thanks to Shocky for this idea) I also adjusted a few settings per Steve's suggestions. Thanks for trying it out and I appreciate all comments. I'm surprised no one mention the chimes that I left in, but I remember playing tables with those chimes and it feels like I'm in a real battle with the aliens while playing an old pinball table. The Martian counter just counts the Martians that you kill and it will save a Martian Killed High Score, but it's just a visual stat and has nothing to do with the game.

| Yeah, definitely a top quality original. Great work on the backdrop bob, thanks for the removal of the green squiggles! Does look better now. The seamless integration of an old classic arcade title with pinball is another great find, you fu**** nutso * a bit of self censorship here, we shouldn't forget this isn't PN | |

| Thanks for all the comments! TedB, I did get a little carried away at the end. Panootz, play a few more games and you'll hear Jack say something. There is a star trigger in the middle of the table, it's purpose is to trigger a voice wave, but you have to hit it to activate it and then it flashes until the voice wave is finished. It may be a little difficult, at times, to hear Jack over the war that is going on, but I didn't want to silence the war as it is the new theme of the table. | |

| Nice table Bob! It sounds like a real war against the martians I like the idea of the trigger reducing the return speed of the flipper. I had seen Shockman's mods, but now I realized that the ballcontrol I added on the latest tables is very similar is shape, and your trigger gave me new ideas on how to improve that ballcontrol. | Thanks JP. I did just update this table to 2009b Mars Attacks 2009b New Backdrop, added UFO's New Scoring Reels and other reels on backdrop. Removed Inlane gate and added popup posts to block ball Created slow dropping and resetting Alien Lane blockers. Adjusted the slope and table settings and made the ball speed trigger just a little bigger. 2 New Ball roll decals and I added a green tint to the ball when it's on the playfield. I probably did a few other things that I can't remember at this time, but this is the last update for 2009 on this table. | |

| MUCH better than the previous version, full of surprises! I play all my tables frm VPMan since I discovered it & ,surprisingly the table is unplayable without disabling Direct Draw .Now it´s fine. I also have a lot of stuttering with The Three Stooges, when the I get the red ball & it comes close to the flippers.Disabling Direct Draw did not help in this case .But the table is very entertaining! | |
