Which Rom's are needed?

Hi!

Sorry for my English, i am from Austria.

Is it possible to make a list of Rom's what are needed for your Tables
and can you always update the list please? Because some of the Rom's
are not working by me; for example "afm_113.zip" and "lotr.zip".

You can go to VPinmame folder then click on "setup.exe" and "test",there is a list of games and the roms names are listed on the right,you can also use Pinmame32 which can be found here.

What kind of problem do you encounter with "afm_113.zip" and "lotr.zip"?

Hi Jlr!

I installed the "Visual_Install_Pack_8.1_2.01.exe".
The "afm_113.zip" was downloaded from ipdb.org and i put it
into the roms folder. When i start the Table a window will
be open and it says me, that a file is not available.
The same window is coming with the "lotr.zip".

When you put the "afm_113.zip" in the roms folder,did you leave it zipped? Do not unzip the roms otherwise you will have problems.

Did you try other tables? and if yes then do you have problems with them too?

Yes, lotr.zip is not working too.

In the "afm_113.zip" there is the file "afm_1_13.bin",
but vpinmave tells me, that i have the"afm_113b.zip"
and the file "afm_113b.bin" is not available.

I have no idea.

The "afm_113.zip" is the parent roms,when you want to play a table then the parent roms must be in your roms folder,do you have the "afm_113.zip" and the "afm_113b.zip" in the roms folder?

I have only the rom "afm_113.zip" in the folder.
When i start the vpinmame test all 4 files in the zip are ok
and it shows me that the file "afm_1_13.bin" is inside the rom.

But when i start the table it shows me the "afm_113b.zip"
and the file "afm_113b.bin" in the rom is not available.

I don't understand why this happens.

It seems that you do not have the "afm_113b.zip" roms,get them via the second link i gave you earlier.

Sure, i have the right rom, ist's size is 3,24mb.

I tried something:
I created in the roms folder a new folder named "afm_113".
Then i unzipped the files "afm_113.zip" AND "afm_13b.zip"
in the new folder.

The Table is now running, but i think that's not the right way.

Indeed,the "afm_113.zip" file is 3.24 mb and the "afm_113b.zip" file is 318 kb.It is weird that the table does not work when you have the roms zipped.Get the Lotr roms from the second link,download the parent and alternate roms then put them in the roms folder and leave them zipped.

To running Attack from Mars, i need both roms "afm_113.zip"
AND "afm_113b.zip" in the roms folder?
I thougt, i only need the "afm_113.zip".

What version of Attack from Mars are you using?

I use version 2.2. from www.jpgpins.kilu.de.

Thank you for the information.To answer your previous question,yes,you need the parent roms "afm_113.zip" in the roms folder and they have to stay zipped and if the table needs alternate roms then get them from the second link i gave you earlier and put them in the roms folder too,leave them zipped like the parent roms.

I understand. The table "Lord of the Rings 1.02" is now running too.

But i think, a list with all JPSalas and Groni tables with all needed roms
for each table should be very useful.

I have noticed on some machines that there are different roms can be downloaded - some have a 7 digit display and original is 6. i have read somewhere that if you have all the roms you can change which set you use while playing the game. How is this done? Do i need all the rom sets as some do different things?
